After School Programs
After Care
Yorktown Christian Academy operates After Care every school day between 3:15 and 5:30 pm. Students are encouraged to get their homework completed during this time. Students who finish homework before parents pick them up may read or socialize with other students. Pricing and registration information for this program may be found by clicking here.
Karate Kids
Karate Kids is a unique martial arts program exclusively for kids. Our goal is to help parents raise safe, healthy, responsible kids. Research has shown that martial arts training improves confidence, focus, self discipline, hand-eye coordination, physical fitness, behavior and academic performance. Karate Kids offers age appropriate physical activities and "mat chats" where we teach life skills such as courtesy, honesty, patience, commitment, cooperation, and self discipline. We also teach students about stranger danger, fire safety, and how to get help in an emergency, all in a fun, positive, atmosphere. Students will learn Isshinryu Karate techniques, self defense, and motor skill development. They will also have the opportunity to earn belt rankings. For current information on activities and fees, visit the Karate Kids page on this site.
