Lauren Garcia graduated from the University of Texas at San Antonio in 2006 with a focus on History and Language Arts. Lauren spent some time teaching 8th grade American History in San Antonio and has been a teacher at YCA since January 2009.

Her family relocated from San Antonio to Corpus when her husband, Steven, accepted the position as Worship Pastor at The Fellowship of Oso Creek Community Church.  Lauren works with the middle school at Oso Creek as well as here at YCA.  Though Steven leads the elementary chapels at YCA, the Garcia’s involvement in YCA doesn’t stop at teaching. Their son, Benjamin, is a student at YCA.

Lauren loves to read and hopes to instill that love of reading in every student that passes through her class!
