Dottie Duke has been a full-time teacher at Yorktown Christian Academy since 2004 and has 13 years of teaching experience. Mrs. Duke has been teaching PreK at YCA since 2005.

 

Her education includes a Bachelor of Science Degree in Education with a Reading Specialization and a Master of Science Degree in Counseling. She also has experience teaching 1st grade with CCISD and FBISD, 2nd grade at Parkdale Baptist School, kindergarten at YCA, and various electives through 5th grade. She has worked as a private tutor and has served many years as a Sunday School Bible teacher and Vacation Bible School director.

 

Dottie and her husband, Dennis, were married in 1982 and have three daughters. Shayla attends A&M College Station, Marissa attends UTSA, and Brianna attends Tuloso-Midway High School. They are active members of Yorktown Baptist Church.

 

Dottie feels very fortunate that God has clearly shown His calling on her life to be an educator and feels blessed to serve as a teacher at Yorktown Christian Academy.
