Statement of Faith
| |
1. We believe the Bible to be the inspired, the only infallible, authoritative, inerrant Word of God.
2. We believe there is only one God, eternally existent in three persons - Father, Son and Holy Spirit.
3. We believe in the deity of Christ; His virgin birth; His sinless life; His miracles; His vicarious and atoning death; His resurrection; His ascension to the right hand of the Father; His personal return in power and glory. |
| |
4. We believe in the absolute necessity of regeneration by the Holy Spirit for salvation because of the
exceeding sinfulness of human nature, and that men are justified on the single ground of faith in the shed blood of Christ and that only by God’s grace and through faith alone we are saved.
5. We believe in the resurrection of both the saved and the lost; they that are saved unto the resurrection of life, and they that are lost unto the resurrection of damnation.
6. We believe in the spiritual unity of believers in our Lord Jesus Christ.
7. We believe in the present ministry of the Holy Spirit by whose indwelling the Christian is enabled to live a godly life. |
Attendance Requirement
Employees with school-aged children are expected to enroll those students in YCA. Exceptions may be made for students with special educational needs. Employee tuition assistance is available for full-time employees.
Lifestyle Statement
Employees of Yorktown Christian Academy will maintain a lifestyle based on biblical standards of conduct, including being a member in good standing of an evangelical church and leading a mature Christian life. It is the goal of YCA that each employee will have a lifestyle where "...He might have the pre-eminence." (Colossians 1:18) Personnel will conduct themselves in a way that will not raise questions regarding their Christian testimonies. A Christian lifestyle should reflect the biblical perspective of integrity and of appropriate personal and family relationships, business conduct, and moral behavior. An employee is expected to demonstrate a teachable spirit, an ability to share love for others, a willingness to live contentedly under authority, and a commitment to follow the Matthew 18 principle when an issue arises with fellow employees or management.
Yorktown Christian Academy does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, gender, nationality, or ethnic origin in the hiring of its employees or in the administration of its educational and admission's policies.
